One time
I ate three tuna dynamite sushi rolls at my older brother’s 14th birthday party then threw up on my mom’s bedroom carpet.

When Jesus suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane
He was bound by the weight of all mankind’s sins
So he could grant unto us
The cleansing power of repentance.
The Bible says he sweated blood
Though I know not if that is true.

Then cometh Ethan unto a place called his parents’ bedroom,
And saith unto his parents “I feel not well”
And lo, he spake unto his father saying “O my Father, if it be possible,
Let this cup pass from me
Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”
And Ethan did feel a great burden lifted from him
That he did suffer no more.

The vomit was deep red, flecked silver white:
Judas’s thirty pieces scattered on the carpet.
And I tasted the acid of the vinegar sponge as if it was me on the cross
And a stabbing spear in my side.

The Bible says Jesus was bound by all of mankind’s sins.
Was he gluttonous?
Did he dishonor his father and mother?
Does this mean he experienced the shame of
Eating three tuna dynamite sushi rolls and then throwing up on his mom’s bedroom carpet?
